Performance and Recovery

Is it possible for one supplement to boost both your performance AND recovery? Most exercise focused supplement companies package up blends focused on either performance, or recovery. Hydrogen water has shown to do both, and the mechanisms in which it works is at the heart of how this is possible.

Hydrogen water works very similar to exercise itself. Exercise I what is known as a beneficial stress, which pushes your body to become healthier and stronger. Hydrogen water has shown to increase performance, potentiating your exercise and training, and then immediately kick your recovery and healing into overdrive. Think of hydrogen water as a “turbocharge” to the entire exercise cycle. This is how hydrogen water, and specifically our high-dose hydrogen tablets, can boost your performance while simultaneously speeding up your recovery.

Increased Exercise Capacity In Mid-Aged Overweight Women

In our first exploratory study, high dose hydrogen water from our hydrogen tablets increased VO2 max, work completed and time to exhaustion in mid-aged overweight women in a double blind, placebo controlled crossover trial, after 28 days. The results, as well as the body of evidence on hydrogen and exercise, led the research team to the conclusion that high dose hydrogen water may boost performance and speed up recovery, leading to a compounding benefit over time.

Benefit In Submaximal Aerobic Exercise Performance

In the second published trial on our high-dose hydrogen water tablets, it was shown that acute supplementation of H2 reduced submaximal heart rate significantly from min 1-9 in a VO2 max stress test on young, healthy, and fit participants. The study was a randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled crossover design at South Utah University. Participants pulled in the same oxygen while their heart rate was lowered, leading to potentially significant benefits in endurance and repeated bout athletes and further complementing the current assessment of the body of research that hydrogen can acutely have slight benefits, but significant benefits will compound over continued use. Reduction In Muscle Soreness

We receive a high level of anecdotal reports that bathing in H2 Relief tablets significantly reduces muscle soreness. This small pilot trial was the first step in confirming this, showing not just subjective reduction in muscle pain, but also a significant reduction in an important biomarker linked to muscle soreness: creatine kinase.
