Herbanomic HNEX Hydrogen Scam
As I continue to search for new hydrogen water scams, I am finding some doozies. Herbanomic could be the most egregious scam to date, due to a combination of the price they are charging, their claims, and — what I would be astonished if it turned out wasn’t knowingly — deceptive use of research articles. For starters, HNEX delivers no molecular hydrogen. Even if they added molecular hydrogen to the water originally, their packaging would hold it in for days, at best. The bottle is not even sealed. Herbanomic and some other distributors are charging $125 for 1L of this “miracle water,” which they state you only need 1tbsp of per day! Even if their product was fully saturated with 1.6mg/L of molecular hydrogen, this would deliver just 0.02mg of H2, 1/25th of the minimum dose that has been observed as potentially effective, and 1/300th of the dose of a single Rejuvenation tablet. At $2/dose at that — and it doesn’t even matter, as they don’t have any hydrogen, anyways.
Here are some of the claims Herbanomic is making. In case its website is updated, I have included photos at the bottom.
“HNEX™ was developed by a group of world-renowned European scientists with a patented technology that has been scientifically tested and shown to signal the activation of genetic pathways which can lead to positive impacts to all areas of your health.”
Which “world-renowned scientists?” They don’t name them. What scientific tests? A PubMed search comes up with 0 results for HNEX.
“HNEX™ utilizes Silver Nano Particles as a base to attach a matrix of separate Hydrogen and Oxygen atoms. This delivers Oxygen to the cells and Hydrogen as a gas to the body’s immune systems.
Highly potent and effective, this Nano Silver anchor delivery method is Antiviral, Antifungal, and Antibacterial throughout its transportation action of vital Oxygen to cells and Hydrogen throughout the body.
HNEX™ has been shown to:
• Improve immune system health
• Modulate hormone balance to support vitality and wellness
• Help maintain a healthy inflammatory response
• Improve gut health and digestive enzyme production
• Help maintain cardiovascular health and support arterial elasticity”
“Hydrogen gas is the smallest molecule in our universe. Scientific studies have shown hydrogen gas and adequate hydration can support the availability of clean cellular energy which our body requires for the proper function of tissues and organs. Within the body’s tissues and organs, Nano hydrogen is small enough that it can penetrate deep into human cells where our metabolism transforms the food we eat into cellular energy. At this cellular level, hydrogen gas and purified water provide essential metabolic functions that power both our mind and physical performance.”
And
“HNEX™ is an efficient way to directly deliver hydrogen gas into your body.”
The issues include the following:
1. It delivers no molecular hydrogen gas.
2. Its citations are mostly for products containing hydrogen gas.
3. It has no validation for any of its claims, as HNEX doesn’t contain hydrogen gas.
This one is pretty humorous for a couple of reasons:
“What is the shelf life of NNEX Water?
12 Years”
The issues include the following:
1. It misspelled its product.
2. Plastic bottles don’t have a 12-year shelf life. Typically 1–3 years. Some oversight organizations, such as the FDA, do not regulate this, but industry self-regulates in this instance. See Nestle’s statement. Basically, the older the plastic bottle and the longer the water is stored, the more the plastic degrades and leaches toxic chemicals into the water. A 12-year expiration date is absurd for this reason.
3. Even if we disregard the plastic issue, if it was adding hydrogen gas to plastic bottles, the shelf life would be days, a few weeks at most for pressurized, gasketed plastic. Not “12 years.”
In case the website is updated, here is the visual evidence. Note in the image showing a 12-year shelf life, it is also advocating using their water for the purposes of enemas and douching. I truly hope these feckless grifters go bankrupt or are jailed. Unfortunately, I have no faith in the institutions entrusted to protect us to act against them. It’s up to everyone who cares to hold these companies responsible.
